## HEADLINE Iran's repeated attacks on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz hit at least four vessels within 24 hours, brought in US drone intercepts, and sped up an Anglo-French push for a multinational maritime mission [18][6][12].
## TODAY IN REVIEW Tuesday was dominated by the Strait of Hormuz, where Iranian forces carried out a sustained campaign against commercial shipping. Iran launched at least two missiles at merchant ships crossing the strait overnight and hit an LNG tanker on outbound transit, setting it on fire [97][98]. The IRGC also targeted a commercial ship with a drone. By afternoon, US officials said Iran had attacked three ships in 24 hours, and UKMTO confirmed a fourth tanker was struck and structurally damaged [4][9][18]. A Saudi-flagged crude tanker was damaged off Oman, and Qatar reported the targeting of the vessel Al-Rekayyat, calling the attack unacceptable [76][31].
