How InteLink works

InteLink's methodology has four stages: ingestion, classification, corroboration and publication. Each stage is automated and continuously running, with analyst oversight on the output.

1. Ingestion

Curated feeds are polled continuously: wire services, regional outlets, government and military channels, vetted OSINT accounts. Every item keeps a link to its original source.

2. Classification

Each item is classified by event type, location and severity. Locations are resolved against a maintained gazetteer so events land on precise coordinates rather than country centroids.

3. Corroboration

New reports are matched against existing events and deduplicated. An event's confidence rises as independent sources confirm it; single-source claims are labelled and kept separate from confirmed activity.

4. Publication

Confirmed events appear on the live map and in the event feed within moments of being reported, with their full source list and revision history attached.
